Help us build playgrounds for the children in our partner communities in Honduras.

To celebrate H&H's 14th birthday, we're coming together this October 14-18 to build three playgrounds for the children in our partner communities. These playgrounds will offer a safe space for kids to play, learn, and grow, helping them develop physically, socially, and emotionally.

So many of the children in the communities we partner with in Honduras spend their time playing with trash, broken furniture, and in unsafe areas. Because of how rural these areas are, boredom often causes these kids to get into trouble, create bad habits, fight with each other, or start relationships very young.

With your help, we can build playgrounds in three of our partner communities to help child development and growth. Playgrounds play a crucial role in children's development for a variety of reasons, including physical growth, thinking skills, making friends, learning through play, and having fun. They are environments where children can grow emotionally, socially, and cognitively, setting the foundation for well-rounded, healthy individuals.

Join us this October 14-18 as we build playgrounds to help these children develop into their fullest, God-given potential!

The Impact

  • Physical Development
    • Children with access to a play areas are 5x more likely to maintain a healthy weight, and neighborhoods with these spaces see a 29% lower incidence of childhood obesity. (NRPA)
  • Social Development
    • Regular access to outdoor play helps children develop socially and mentally, while limited play opportunities can reduce creativity, hinder social skills, and increase mental health issues. (CEECD)
  • Emotional Development
    • The lack of safe play spaces for children in their developmental years can increase stress, anxiety, or depression, while access to playgrounds reduces stress and aggression. (UNICEF)

The Plan

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to build these playgrounds! Join us by donating $14 and sharing this message with others. Together, we can create spaces for kids to play, learn, and where hope can grow!
